JDJ International Open Schools (JDJ IOS) is an international educational ecosystem through which students can, among other options, complete an American online high school program — an accredited American High School program from Florida, USA — and earn an American High School Diploma, recognized worldwide, including by universities in Poland.
Learning takes place fully online, flexibly, and individually, making it easy to combine with education at a Polish secondary school as part of the Dual Diploma program, also known as a “double diploma,” or to complete a full-time American online high school program through the Full Time option. The JDJ IOS model also allows students to freely combine education with sports, travel, work, or the development of their own passions.
The program is delivered through individual lesson modules, without real-time group lessons or live classes. The dominant form of assessment is formative assessment: students complete a wide range of assignments and projects instead of a few large, stressful exams.
Communication with subject teachers from the USA takes place individually and electronically — via chat, email, or phone calls. Students receive regular, personalized feedback and also have access to support from a student counsellor, coordinators, and, optionally, a JDJ educational mentor. In addition, students can participate in virtual school clubs in the Student Lounge, where they can build international friendships.
