Is American Online Middle School Right For Me?
The American Online Middle School Program is designed for students in grades 6–8 who dream of completing middle school and continuing their education at an American high school, either online or in a traditional classroom setting.
The recommended level of English proficiency for comfortable learning at the middle school level is at least A2 (pre-intermediate). If you have any doubts about your language level, we encourage you to verify it by taking a certified ELTiS test (with us).
Starting your courses
You can start studying in the American Online Middle School Program at any time of the year, from anywhere in the world. Teaching materials are available around the clock, and each school year lasts 10 months from the moment the student’s account is activated.
JDJ IOS gives students access to a modern Learning Management System (LMS), with video lessons, written assignments, and quizzes that check understanding along the way, available 24/7, 365 days a year. Students can use the platform from anywhere in the world, with uninterrupted communication with teachers from the US through a variety of online tools.
Methods and learning
Learning at the American Online Middle School Program at JDJ IOS is based on a modern Learning Management System (LMS) that gives students access to a variety of teaching materials. The learning process is interactive and engaging — it includes video lessons and written assignments, as well as quizzes that check understanding along the way, short tests summarizing individual modules, and educational games that help consolidate knowledge in a natural, practical way. The goal of this approach is to help students absorb knowledge effectively and in an engaging format.
Thanks to the asynchronous learning model, flexible scheduling, and modular lessons, there’s no need to sit in-person exams. All you need to keep learning is a computer and a stable internet connection. It’s an ideal solution for students who want to study at their own pace and on their own schedule, balancing education with their passions, travel, or sport.
The standard school year lasts 10 months, with the option to extend it by up to 2 additional months if needed. Students can also move faster by completing their required coursework (Assignments & Assessments) ahead of schedule.
Contact with teachers from the US occurs through flexible consultations, scheduled primarily to meet the student’s individual needs.
