The Adult Learner Program is designed for individuals who want to complete a U.S. High School Diploma in a flexible, fully online format.
You can begin at any time of the year, from anywhere in the world, and progress at your own pace through an asynchronous learning model with 24/7 platform access.
Flexible & Accelerated Pathway
The Adult Learner Curriculum offers a flexible pathway to completing a U.S. high school diploma, with the possibility to accelerate progress based on your prior education, experience, and availability.
Some students complete the program in as little as 6 months, while others choose a more extended timeline. You have full control over your pace, with the option to extend your access if needed.
Recognized Diploma & Further Opportunities
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a U.S. High School Diploma accredited by Cognia, issued through our partner in the U.S.—American High School from Florida, USA.
The diploma confirms completion of secondary education and supports applications to colleges and universities worldwide (subject to each institution’s individual requirements).

How It Works
All course materials—textbooks, videos, audio files, quizzes, assignments, and educational games—are available through our user-friendly online platform, accessible on any device with a stable internet connection.
One-on-one support from certified U.S. teachers is available through various online channels. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with other learners via virtual student clubs.
Educational Mentor
The role of JDJ Educational Mentor is to:
- motivate students to fulfill their potential,
- monitor student’s learning progress,
- access the LMS in order to make sure deadlines for assignments are fulfilled in a timely manner,
- directly contact teachers on behalf on the adult student so that if a student experiences any issues, they can be resolved promptly,
- help create a personalized learning schedule so that adult students can take full advantage of online learning. For instance, through elective course choices reflective of future educational or professional aspirations,
- aid in selecting the right university.
Virtual Reality Courses
JDJ IOS presents the opportunity to study state-of-the-art virtual reality courses
such as: Biotechnology, Drone flying, Martial arts, Robotics, Cooking and many more.
We are excited to offer this revolutionary educational programme for teenagers and adults worldwide. Each VR course revolves around authentic experiences and has been specifically designed to allow course participants to gain a qualification in their chosen discipline. Furthermore, these modules also count towards college credits.

The standard school year lasts 10 months, with the option to extend by 2 additional months if needed.
Highly motivated students can complete their coursework faster and graduate earlier — even in as little as 2 years instead of 4.
Learning Platform & Communication
Students access all learning materials — including e-textbooks, quizzes, videos, audio materials, educational games, and assignments — through an online school platform available on computer, tablet, or smartphone with high-speed internet access.
Communication with teachers takes place one-on-one via email, chat, phone, or video consultations to address questions or provide academic support.
Students also engage with peers through interest-based groups, virtual school clubs, and student associations in the virtual Student Lounge — building a sense of community in the online environment.
Accredited U.S. Diploma
Thanks to the Cognia accreditation of our American High School curriculum provider, JDJ graduates earn a U.S. high school diploma recognised worldwide by colleges, universities, and employers.
To earn this diploma, students complete coursesthat align with recognised U.S. academic standards.
They may also enrol in NCAA-approved courses, making them eligible to apply for sports scholarships at American colleges and universities.

Virtual Reality Courses
JDJ International Open Schools presents the opportunity to study state-of-the-art virtual reality courses such as Biotechnology, Drones, Robotics, Programming of Robots, Welding, Culinary Arts, Medical Assistant, Carpentry, Criminal Justice, Nursing Assistant, Coding, and more.
The courses rely on interactive simulations and videos that use virtual reality environment, which generates sensations and authentic experiences through realistic videos, images, and sounds. These VR courses lead to industry certification and college credits.
Student ID
JDJ students receive a Student ID card.
We also recommend applying for an international ISIC Student Card, which offers additional benefits — including discounted public transport and access to various student discounts worldwide.
Accreditation
The American High School program offered within the JDJ IOS educational ecosystem is delivered by an American High School curriculum provider accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), a division of Cognia (formerly AdvancED) — one of the most respected accrediting agencies in the United States. Students follow a U.S. curriculum aligned with the Common Core State Standards, ensuring academic consistency with U.S. grade-level expectations.
